The combo of sweet juicy pineapple and crunch cucumber is absolutely delightful. Jalapeño here adds the perfect amount of kick while not being overpowering. I also sprinkled a pinch of Turkish pul biber, also know as Aleppo chilli flakes, over for subtle notes of cumin and fruity tang. It contains no seeds or inner flesh of the chillies, so it's not spicy at all. This salad is pretty straightforward and simple, so make sure to use the freshest and best produce you can find.

- In a large bowl, combine pineapple, cucumber, jalapeño, onion, cilantro, garlic, lime juice and salt, and pepper, to taste. Sprinkle the pul biber chilli flakes over if using.
- Serve the salad immediately, or keep in the refrigerator for 15 minutes to let the flavours meld.

...a spicy, sweet summer treat.
I'll bet that has a nice kick, yum!
Salad with a little kick in it.
Sounds yummy, I like a little spice. Take care, have a wonderful week!
Angie, a very fresh salad but, for me, without jalapeño. They say that spiciness helps mitigate the heat, is this true?
Una ensalada muy rica, me gustan sus ingredientes, excepto el cilantro, no puedo con él. Si lo elimino no creo que quede mal, a mi me gustará más.
Angie, this is a beautiful tropical salad perfect for Florida summer days. This recipe has been saved!
Gracias por la receta. Me gusta el pepino. Te mando un beso.
A refreshing salad with a kick. Love it.
That is also very good dish for my night desert
@Norma2 Heard about that too. The spicy food cause you to perspire and cool down your body. Similar to hot and cold tea...In my home town, we all drink HOT tea during summer days.
That looks great, never thought of adding pineapple to a salad other than a fruit salad.
I have to say that pineapple is not one of my favourite fruits, but with all the other ingredients I would give this a try.
This is something I would not find lecker but I do like your golden lil spoons!
What a unique combo of flavors, sounds refreshing!
