These kohlrabi fries, just like the potato version, go perfectly with burgers, steaks and schnitzel. However, there is one thing you should know before you go buy some kohlrabis. The homemade kohlrabi fries are not quite as crispy as conventional chips. However, they still have a great flavour, which is why you should definitely give them a try. Also because kohlrabi is really healthy. It is bursting with folic acid and vitamin C and also provides us with calcium, potassium, magnesium and iron.
With 6 grams of total carbohydrates per 100 grams, the kohlrabi is another cruciferous vegetable that you can include in your low-carb diet. Compared to many other low-carb vegetables, kohlrabi is particularly high in fibre, so it makes every meal more filling.

- Whisk the buttermilk, mayonnaise, and vinegar together. Stir in the remaining ingredients. Chill until ready to use.
- Preheat the oven to 220C/430 F. Peel the kohlrabi and cut into wedges. Place them in a bowl and add in chicken schmaltz, spices and rosemary. Toss everything until well combined.
- Spread the kohlrabi wedges on a baking tray lined with baking paper, making sure that they do not overlap.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes. Turn the kohlrabi fries over and bake for a further 15 minutes. Serve with ranch dressing.

We tend to eat kohlrabi raw, but this looks interesting. I might give it a try in the air fryer.
Me gusta la receta porque ahora, por problemas estomacales, me han reducido el consumo de patata y el colinabo es un buen sustituto.
Thank you so much I haven't had this veg in ages. We used to grow in Texas so well.
So yummy!
...another veggie that I've never had.
I was wondering what we could do with kohlrabi beside putting it in a soup or salad. Nice idea.
Looks so good! -Christine cmlk79.blogspot.com
I've heard the word "Kohlrabi," but I never had any idea what it was. I'll have to keep my eyes open for it!
Kohlrabi is another veggie I have never tried. It sounds healthy, thanks for sharing. Take care, have a great day!
I haven't had kohlrabi in years, haven't seen it here so I'll have to look for it.
It is crispy
It might sound strange Angie but I have never eaten kohlrabi before. Just had a chat with hubs and he says he has seen it and that we should put it on our next shopping list to try your recipe. Looks delicious!
Ricas papas . Te mando un beso y gracias por la receta-.
Kohlrabi fries sound like a fantastic alternative to traditional potato fries, especially for those looking for a lower-carb option! The subtle sweetness of roasted kohlrabi paired with smoky paprika, garlic, and rosemary creates a flavor-packed side dish.
And yet another way to eat kohlrabi- looks really delicious.
I hadn't heard of those but they sure look good!
That's a great idea Angie.
