Rich, salty and tangy from freshly squeezed lemon juice and zest, this simple tuna pâté pairs well with hot toast or crackers. Use the highest-quality canned tuna you can find. Enjoy it as a snack, lunch, or as an easy, delicious entertaining appetizer for friends and family.

- Put the drained tuna, softened utter, crème fraîche, lemon zest and juice in a food processor and whizz until smooth.
- Taste and season with cayenne (or Tabasco), sea salt and pepper, then stir through the chopped parsley. Transfer to two small bowls or a clingfilm-lined mini loaf pan or to a glass jar. Cover and chill until firm for at least 8 hours or overnight.
- Bring the pâté out of the fridge 10 minutes before serving. Serve with crackers or hot toast and the boiled eggs, olives and capers piled into separate bowls for sprinkling on top.

I have four different kinds of crackers in the house - bring the pâté. I have wine too.

Those crackers look lovely. I usually buy corn crackers with flax seeds, millet and quinoa.

En casa nos encanta dipear y la verdad es que no tengo muchas recetas de paté, siempre hago los mismos. Me gusta mucho tu preparación y está muy bien presentada con las galletas y el huevo.

I often make different dips with tuna, but you've elevated canned tuna to a totally new and elegant level. I never would have thought of tuna pate - absolutely wonderful!

That one looks perfect and I'd love to try it!
I think this would taste great on a bagel also. I have tuna cravings, and this post has made me want some now. Maybe this will be tomorrow's food experiment. Happy new week Angie. hugs-Erika

Oh . . . my goodness, that looks so delicious, not only that, but I've been wanting something to snack on.
It does look wonderful but I'm not into tuna.

Wow! I'm about to make some creme fraische for a recipe I'm trying out, and I know there'll be some leftover. I'm making this with it!

Perfect tasty and budget friendly appetizer indeed! Must do!
This tuna pâté recipe sounds like a burst of flavor! Yum
So smooth! I usually just mix tuna, yogurt, seasoning/herbs "manually" and tends to be chunky for sandwiches and dips
Angie, this looks amazing!! I'm going to try this pate this weekend. So perfect for spring and summer.
