Hemp flour (not hemp protein powder), aka hemp bran, is made from raw hemp seeds after cold pressing to extract the hemp seed oil. It is rich in dietary fiber (a whopping 30%), protein and rich in vitamins and minerals. Plus, it's gluten-free, low in carbohydrates and completely free from cholesterol, contains no saturated fat and is low in sodium. It has a nutty taste and deep greenish colour.
This low-carb, dairy-free, gluten-free and fibre-packed hemp tahini loaf is very satiating, nutrient dense and great topped with avocado, hummus, or seasonal fruit for a wholesome breakfast. The bread is better stored in a container in the fridge for up to 5 days and it freezes well too.

- Preheat the oven to 180C/350F and line a 20x10x7cm loaf tin with baking paper.
- In a large bowl combine the tahini, hemp flour, baking soda and sea salt. Stir to combine. Add in the beaten eggs, lemon juice, chia seeds and sunflower seeds. Stir until completely combined.
- Scrape the batter into the prepared tin and top with sesame seeds. Bake in the middle of hot oven for 35-40 minutes or until a skewer inserted comes out clean. Remove and cool for 5 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Muy interesante Angie! Muchas gracias!
Una vez más aprendo algo culinario nuevo contigo. No conocía este tipo de ingrediente e ignoro que haye en mi país.
Sería genial encontrar!; Me encanta elaborar pan casero.
Un gran abrazo!!
I am definitely going to try this!
That looks incredible. Thanks for the recipe.
This just looks so healthy
That look great, dark breads are yummy!
...it looks rustic and wonderful.
This is so special, low carb and no cholestrol bread, good job, looks nutritious.
I've never tried baking with hemp, and I'm really curious about how this tastes. When I look at it I think chocolate as the color is really dark.
Gracias por la receta parece rico y sano. Te mando un beso.
Never tasted hemp bread. But I like the look of it though I think my kids will be scared by the colour! Lol.
Yummy -Christine cmlk79.blogspot.com
Now that looks interesting.
love low carb bread....
your bread look yummy
No conozco esa harina de cáñamo que nombras, pero te aseguro que ese pan lo probaba para conocer su sabor, buen aspecto tiene.
Always in for a new combination to make healthy and tasty bread! Brava!
It looks bizarre and gorgeous at the same time LOL Never seen hemp flour here, sadly, but this weekend I am trying rice flour for the first time, hope it is not as sticky while mixing like oat flour is. I made red lentil flour frittata with shrooms last week and it was lovely.
molto interessante!
Angie, Interesting bread for sure. I'd try it if someone else made it, but since I don't care for multi-grain breads...preferring good Italian, French, Focaccia or Sourdough, I am a little dubious. Also, wherever you live, your markets seem to have a much wider selection of flour than ours do. I've never come across hemp flour. Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
This bread is really beautiful as are your photos.
have a wonderful weekend
Hola Angie. Delicioso pan, para tomarlo como ingrediente principal o para acompañar. Buen fin de semana. Un beso 😘
