These melt-in-the-mouth, buttery cookies are made with pecans, fresh chives, Dijon-mustard and sour cream. Perfect for any time of the day! Be warned though - once you start eating one, you might find it difficult to stop! These cookies freeze well. Wait for the cookies to cool completely, then transfer them to a reusable freezer-safe bag or container lined with wax or parchment paper in a single layer. They will keep well for up to 2 months.

- Preheat the oven to 200C/400F. Line a baking tray with baking paper. Set aside 20 pecan halves, break the remaining nuts into coarse pieces with your hands.
- Mix the flour, baking powder, coconut sugar, salt and pepper in a mixing bowl. Add the butter, crème fraîche, mustard, chives and pecans. Peel and mince the garlic. Mix everything first with a hand mixer fitted with the dough hooks, then knead briefly with your hands to form a smooth dough.
- Divide the dough into 20 portions and shape each into a ball, place on a baking tray and press 1 pecan half into each. Bake in the center of hot oven for 20 minutes until golden brown, flattening the cookies halfway through baking with a spatula or the back of a tablespoon.
- Remove from the oven and leave to cool on a wire rack. Store in an air-tight container for up to 4 days.

ReplyDeleteThese look perfect Angie, I love a savoury biscuit. Sour cream is cheaper here than creme fraiche so do you think sour cream could be used instead. I will be freezing some.
