Grilled Radish Skewers

This tasty grilled radish recipe requires minimal ingredients: radishes, olive oil, dill, salt and pepper. Grilling radishes takes out the spicy and peppery flavour and gets them tender and sweet while leaving just a bit of refreshing crunch on the inside. Not only is it delicious and easy, it is also nutritious. Radishes are a great source of vitamin C, fiber and potassium. They make a perfect appetizer or you can serve them with some grilled chicken or your favourite protein for a satisfying meal.

  • 2-3 bunch Radishes, trimmed
  • 2-3 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Dill, chopped
  • Sea salt and freshly milled black pepper
  1. Skewer the radishes on skewers. If using wood, then soak in water for 30 minutes.
  2. Mix olive oil, chopped dill, sea salt and black pepper. Brush the radish skewers with the prepared olive oil.
  3. Heat your grill to medium-high heat or use a grill pan. Grill the radishes for about 3-4 minutes per side, brushing with more prepared olive oil as they cook. Season with additional black pepper and salt, if needed.

  2. Very unusual, I have never cooked nor grilled radishes, but nice info that they turn sweet when cooking. We do not currently have them in the shops. I love to eat them in the spring as a salad with my breakfast oats omelette.

  3. What a great idea for veggie skewers. I'm curious, do the radishes get soft when you grill them?

  12. Angie, I will try your grilled radishes since many people do not consume them because they are spicy.

  24. I've never had roasted / grilled radishes. They sound delicious and beautiful - especially since you're used radishes of different colours.

  29. Angie, you have blown my mind with these. I have sautéed radishes, but never made skewers, and I LOVE this idea. I eat a lot of radishes, I mean an embarrassing amount. Between the radishes, the blackberries, and the Greek yogurt, biweekly embarrass myself in the supermarket with the amount of these things that I buy. I am definitely going to try this.
