These popsicles have German Quark cheese in them which is packed with protein and perfect for a hot summer day treat. Quark is a very common fresh cheese that you can get it everywhere here in Germany. Alternatively, you can use Greek yoghurt or cottage cheese.

ReplyDeleteI'm familiar with quark, it was usually served at breakfast buffets of all the hotels that I have stayed at both in Germany as well as Austria. I can imagine how good your pretty berry popsicles are.
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of quark cheese...after an internet search I learned some facts about this cheese...I can imagine how delicious are these popsicles with berries...a perfect treat for the warm weather.

ReplyDeleteLove how pretty and refreshing these look. What a great idea to use quark cheese in ice cream and the pictures are stunning Angie! Love all the berries in here too :)
ReplyDeleteOh you have no idea how jealous I am that you have quark so readily available. I have never had it frozen; we always used it in German cheesecake. There are substitutions that work, but I will forever notice that it is a little different from what I grew up with :)
ReplyDeleteLove that you used quark cheese here Angie - beautiful, seasonal pops! They look so creamy and delicious. Pretty photos too.

We are in love with these beautiful popsickles, Angie! Wish we could find German Quark cheese here in Califronia, we used to eat it all the time when we lived in Darmstadt :)
ReplyDeletegreat use of quark cheese! love these popsicles!
ReplyDeleteThey look like a perfect treat for a hot afternoon.
ReplyDeleteAngie, I need some for such hot weather in Spore now!
ReplyDeleteRefreshing and delicious Angie! Plus they're pretty too! They would make me happy eating them. :-)
ReplyDeleteI made these glorious tasty quark popsicles &love them so much! They are just superb, Angie! Really easy to make & to devour too! :) xxx
ReplyDeleteIgnore my last comment, my computer went crazy. These Popsicles look gorgeous, and I bet taste awesome! Love that they do not have refined sugar. Yum, Hugs, Terra
ReplyDeleteThey almost look to pretty to eat!
ReplyDeleteThey must be really yummy with quark cheese. Unfortunately, you can't easily find that here in Arizona so I'll try them with yogurt. I'm sure they'll be really good anyway. I also like that you didn't blend it so you find bits of fruit when you bite into it.
ReplyDeleteI have never tried this type of cheese but for the looks of it and the fact that I love any cheese I should give this a go :-) They look terrific.
ReplyDeleteI love the creaminess of these popsicles! I wish I can have one of these right now!
ReplyDeleteSo refreshing and summery. Love the use of quark here :)
ReplyDeleteOh such beautiful popsicles! I've never made them before and need to get with it! This is a wonderful recipe for the upcoming hot days of summer, Angie! PS: I found your comments and they are both posted! I'm sorry for any inconvenience! you're a true friend for letting me know about that 'glitch'. Blessings, Roz
ReplyDeleteI love peach popsicle but this is very pretty too. Heck! I will try both!

ReplyDeleteKristy
Hi Angie, this is so lovely and inviting. I want 2 pieces please. Beautiful photography. You're really good, 2 thumbs up for you.
ReplyDeleteBest regards.
Oh wow I've never thought of making ice cream with a quark cheese. How thick is German quark? Polish twarog is quite thick. I think I may need to add some yogurt
ReplyDelete@MagdaGerman Quark is not as thick Polish twarog, so yes, some addition of yogurt would be perfect.
ReplyDelete@Angie Schneider
ReplyDeleteThank you Angie
Could you use fat free quark please? Thanks x
