These crispy, soft and chewy Smarties cookies are a must-have at any children’s birthday party. They are both easy and quick to make and are sure to be a hit. Use whatever candy-coated sweets or chocolate buttons you like and drizzle the baked cookies with melted white chocolate if desired.
|
- Preheat the oven to 180C/350F. Line a large baking tray with parchment paper.
- Cream the softened butter with both types of sugar until creamy. Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix to combine. Add flour and mix to combine. Finally, fold through 3/4 of the Smarties until fully mixed.
- Take 1 and 1/2 tablespoon of the cookie dough, and roll into balls. Place the cookie dough balls on the baking trays, spacing them apart to allow for spreading.
- Press a few extra Smarties on top of the dought and bake for 12-14 minutes, or until just lightly golden around the edges. They're best enjoyed fresh from the oven. The rest will keep in an airtight container for up to 3 days.

ReplyDeleteOh, what beautiful cookies. These Smarties cookies are a delight to see. The vibrant pops of color from the chocolate buttons against the golden-baked dough make me feel a sense of nostalgic joy; they look like the perfect treat for a celebration. I especially appreciate the idea of drizzling them with white chocolate for that extra touch of sweetness.

These look delicious! I’m guessing that your Smarties are like our M&Ms. Here we have Smarties, but they are small, round, tart, chalky candies that come in a roll wrapped in clear cellophane.
ReplyDeleteThese look good, my daughter would love them :-D

ReplyDeleteI'm sure many children will enjoy these.
